Vinegar Candy

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 teaspoons cider vinegar
1/2 cup Hiland Butter
 

Preparation

Generously butter a platter. Combine the 4 ingredients in a pan over medium heat and bring to boil. Cook at slow rolling boil, stirring occasionally, to hard crack stage. Test candy by dropping 1/4 teaspoon into a cup of cold water. Mixture should form a hard ball. Remove mixture from heat and beat until it begins to thicken. Pour onto buttered platter. When candy is cool and set, remove from platter and break into pieces.
