Hiland Western-Cristo Sandwich

Ingredients

4 large eggs
1/2 cup Hiland Skim Milk
pinch salt
pinch black pepper
4 slices Hiland Pepper Jack Cheese
4 slices Hiland Cheddar Cheese
4 slices deli ham
4 slices deli turkey
8 teaspoons honey mustard
4 teaspoons lite mayonnaise
4 tablespoons jalapeño jelly
12 slices wheat bread
cooking spray
1 cup french fried onions, crushed
 

Preparation

 Whisk together eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a medium bowl or pie plate.

Set aside. Spread 8 slices of bread with honey mustard; top 4 of the slices with pepper jack cheese and deli ham. Spread the remaining 4 slices of bread with jalapeno jelly and place jelly side down on ham. Spread the top of these slices with mayonnaise and add turkey and cheddar. Finish with the 4 slices of bread that were spread with mustard.

Dip sandwich in egg and then into the crushed onions. Spray a nonstick skillet liberally with cooking spray. Heat until hot, then place dipped sandwich in skillet and cook until golden brown, 2-3 minutes each side. Serve warm.
