French Bread Supper

Ingredients

1 loaf French bread, split open horizontally
6 tablespoons Hiland Butter
1 container (8 ounce) of your favorite flavored cream cheese spread
1 tablespoon sweet red paprika
1/2 teaspoon black or white pepper
diced ham or chopped southwestern flavor grilled chicken pieces
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
1 sweet red/orange bell pepper, chopped
shredded cheese, to your taste
salsa
Hiland Sour Cream or Dip

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the butter and cream cheese and soften in microwave till spreadable. Spread on cut side of both halves of French bread loaf. Sprinkle with seasonings, onion and bell pepper, then either the ham or chicken (or do 1 on each side!), smother with shredded cheese. Bake approximately 10 minutes or till cheese starts to melt and bread toasts. Set oven to broil and let cheese bubble. Top with salsa and sour cream (or dip) and ENJOY!!! This makes a super quick and easy supper and even kids love this....adjust to your taste, but be sure to keep the Hiland fresh in your meal!
