Ingredients
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped almonds or walnuts
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups thawed Cool Whip, divided
3 cups cold Hiland Milk
2 packages(4-serving size each) instant pudding mix, any flavor
Preparation
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, nuts and margarine. Press onto bottom of 13x9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Beat cream cheese and sugar with mixer until well blended. Stir in 1 cup whipped topping. Spread over crust. Beat milk and pudding mixes with wire whisk for 2 minutes. Spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping. Refrigerate several hours until chilled.
For a lower calorie or lower sugar version, use fat free cream cheese, sugar-free whipped topping, low-fat or fat-free milk, and/or fat-free, sugar-free pudding mix. I made this for Thanksgiving using fat free cream cheese, 1% milk, regular Cool Whip, and sugar-free pudding. It was a HUGE HIT!
