Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup Hiland Dairy salt free butter
1 cup Hiland Dairy buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell

Preparation

This recipe was given to me by a friend shortly after I got married. It is a good way to use up leftover buttermilk after making my favorite biscuit recipe.

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into pie shell. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.

If preferred, you can sprinkle with cinnamon sugar on top of pie while still warm out of the oven.
