Best-Ever Creamed Corn

Ingredients

2(10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn, thawed
1 cup Hiland heavy cream
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbls. sugar
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbls. Hiland butter
1 cup Hiland whole milk
2 Tbls. flour
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation

Combine corn, cream, salt, sugar, pepper, and butter in skillet over medium heat. In small bowl, whisk together milk and flour and then stir into corn mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and corn is cooked through. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.

Makes approximately 8 servings.
